the old fuel depot
The Old Fuel Depot was once part of a strategically important network of fuel storage sites connected by pipeline which kept Britain’s military airports supplied with fuel during times of conflict.
The site was once connected to a secret underground network of government fuel pipelines; the Government Pipelines and Storage System (GPSS), the origins of which date back to before World War Two and were strategically important in keeping Britain’s airports supplied with fuel during wartime.
